The Pastoral Structure in Omagh High School is based around our House System.  Each pupil is allocated a House from one of Auchinleck, Crevenagh or Strule.  Pupils are awarded or deducted House Points for Achievements or Behavioural Incidents.  These points are also awarded or deducted from the pupil’s House.  The House Trophy is awarded to the House with the highest net points total at the end of the year.  The winning House is rewarded with a special school trip.

In addition to pupils’ points contributing to the House Competition, a number of House competitions are also held throughout the year.  These competitions attract significant House points as well and include:

  • House football

  • House Rugby

  • House Netball

  • House Hockey

  • Charitable Fundraising

  • Sports Day

The House competitions serve to inspire pupils to work collaboratively and establish a House identity motivating them to greater effort in all areas of school life.
