Future Climate Leaders in Action!
With COP30 taking place in Brazil this month, our Year 14 Geographers, Millie S and Blake D, stepped into the global spotlight at Belfast Castle. They joined over 80 students from 28 schools for a full simulation of the international climate change conference. Representing Egypt as part of the Developing Nations, both students showed incredible skill in negotiating and lobbying for deals to reduce global warming. Year 13 Geographers Take on Magilligan!
Last week, our Year 13 Geography students embraced the crisp autumn air during a fantastic two-day residential at Magilligan. From exploring the stunning landscapes of the Umbra, Binevenagh, and Mussenden Temple to getting hands-on with soil science, data analysis, and fieldwork inquiry. Farm Tour at AFBI Hillsborough
On Wednesday 1st October, our Year 12 GCSE Agriculture & Land Use class had the exciting opportunity to attend a Schools Open Day at the Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute (AFBI) Hillsborough. Students explored key areas of modern farming, including soil health, grassland management, and anaerobic digestion. They also got valuable insights into dairy production, as well as pig and poultry systems. A fantastic hands-on learning experience that brought classroom theory to life
