At the end of September, we said farewell to two highly valued members of staff here at Omagh High School, Mr W. Quigley and Mrs G. Quigley.
Mrs Quigley devoted 38 years of outstanding service to Omagh High School and was a deeply respected and cherished colleague throughout her time here. During her career, she took on many important roles — from Teacher of English, to Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator, to her most recent post as Vice Principal for Pastoral Care. Mrs Quigley touched the lives of countless pupils through her dedication, compassion, and unwavering belief in every child’s potential. She truly embodied the values that Omagh High School stands for: fairness, equality of opportunity, and strong pastoral support.
Mr Quigley also played a vital role over the years, supporting our students as a Classroom Assistant and, more recently, within the TD Department as the TD technician, where his reliability, kindness, and commitment left a lasting impression on both staff and pupils alike. His knowledge and resourcefulness will certainly be missed.
Omagh High School extends its heartfelt thanks to Mr and Mrs Quigley for their many years of dedication and service. We wish them both a long, happy, and well-deserved retirement.
