U16 Rugby: Pollock Cup

Omagh High School 25–59 Castlederg 

Our U16 rugby team began their Pollock Cup campaign with a spirited performance against a highly impressive Castlederg side in the opening round of the competition.

Despite the final score of 59–25, the OHS boys showed great determination, resilience and attacking intent throughout the match. 

Castlederg demonstrated their quality from the outset, playing with pace and power to take control of the game, but OHS continued to battle hard and were rewarded with some excellent scores of their own.

There was a hat-trick of tries from Tilson McC, with further scores from John H and Tai G.

Congratulations to Castlederg on their victory and on securing the James Carberry Shield. 

The occasion was a fantastic showcase of school rugby, and both schools have expressed their intention to make the fixture an annual event moving forward.
