On Wednesday 19 March, Omagh High School Under 16 rugby team hosted Carndonagh Community School in the quarter final of the Ulster High Schools Plate competition. A very evenly contested game throughout resulted in the scoreline suprisingly being 0-0 at full time. Under the rules of the competiton, penalty kicks were required to separate the two teams. The scores were still tied after 5 penalties each with both schools only missing one kick each. This meant sudden death would decide the winners. Omagh High School scored their kick and Carndonagh missed to send Omagh High through to the semi finals. Our opponents in the next round will be Sperrin Integrated College.
