World Down Syndrome Day

OHS had a fantastic time celebrating World Down Syndrome Day with Whacky Sock Day and a fun Bocce & Cuppa event A special shoutout to Katie C, proud member of the OHS Bocce Club and competitor with Omagh Spires Special Olympics Club. After progressing through area and regional competitions, Katie has qualified to represent Team Ulster at the Ireland Games in Dublin this June — an incredible achievement! The whole school community is so proud, presenting Katie with a special OHS mascot to remind her we’re all cheering her on. With this year’s focus on tackling loneliness, pupils came together for Bocce, tea, cake, and connection — plus plenty of laughs and colourful socks all around.
