Wednesday’s McMullan Shield fixture against Fivemiletown College ended in an agonising defeat for our U-14 footballers in a pulsating encounter at Campsie Playing Fields on Wednesday morning. The home side went into this one buoyant following a promising display against Devenish College in their previous outing but hopes of a victory in this match were swiftly scuppered following an inspired start to the match by the away team, racing into a very early 2-0 lead. The task would become even trickier after a Fivemiletown third just before half time, a goal which came against the play after a number of very dangerous Omagh High attacks, orchestrated by midfield maestro Jake W. Despite a much improved second half from the home team, it proved ultimately impossible to forge a comeback to claim their first point of the 2023-2024 league campaign. Excellent performances on the day from team captain Jake W, goalkeeper Jake D and attacking midfielder Calvin B.

Our next fixture is an away match against Castlederg High on 31st January where the boys hope to bounce back and kickstart their season.
